When you browse the Internet and login to various different websites or check your email you will need to enter a password. It is very tempting to use easy to remember password such as the name of your pet, favourite football team, the make or model of your car or to even use the same password for each different login. While this makes the password easy to remember it also makes it easier for a hacker to decipher
You can create a more secure password by using a mixture of upper and lower-case letters, numbers and symbols such as ‘&’ ‘(‘ ‘£’ etc. An example of a good password is Hc£P?wmn)”. Unfortunately some websites do not allow the use of symbols so you will need to use just a mixture of upper & lower-case letters and numbers. It is also a good idea to use a different username for each login
There are many different programs that will help you to remember your passwords and usernames. One of the best I have found is Roboform – click on the Roboform logo below for more details on Roboform … once you start using Roboform you will wonder how you managed without it before!
